• Former Apple Inc. executives Imran Chaudhri, Bethany Bongiorno, and Patrick Gates announced a $100 million investment round for their startup, Humane Inc.

• The investment was led by Kindred Ventures, with participation from Microsoft and OpenAI.

• Humane is developing a yet-to-be-disclosed product that may be a wearable device capable of projecting a display users can interact with.

• The company has previously raised $130 million in two rounds and will partner with Microsoft to power its cloud services and OpenAI to integrate its AI technology into the device.

• Humane plans to launch the product this spring and pursue an open and collaborative company culture.
