• OpenAI is introducing plug-in support to ChatGPT, expanding its capabilities and giving it access to live data from the web.

• Plug-ins allow ChatGPT to interact with external sites such as Expedia and Instacart, potentially turning it into a wide-ranging interface for services.

• Initially, 11 plug-ins are available with more planned for future rollouts, including OpenAI's own browsing plug-in for retrieving information from the web.

• Safety measures are in place to limit availability of these plug-ins to a small number of developers and users.

Now back to the fluffy stuff ... Canva unveils a series of new features, including several AI-powered tools

• Canva has launched Assistant, Magic Write, Magic Design and other AI-powered tools to help users produce designs more efficiently and quickly.

• Magic Write expanded its availability to all Canva project types and is now available in 18 languages.

• Draw, Layouts, Styles, Layers and Alt Text features have been added for enhanced design capabilities.

• Brand Hub includes tools such as Magic Replace, brand templates, folders and guidelines for teams to stay on brand.

IFTTT if not powerful enough for automations the team have now announced AI-powered automations.

• IFTTT, the productivity platform that enables users to create automations across various apps and devices, has added three new AI-powered services to its platform.

• These services include AI-driven social media posts, blogs, and summaries, available with a subscription to the Pro Plus plan.

• OpenAI’s GPT-3 AI language model powers these integrations which can generate outlines, tweets based on RSS feeds, and email summaries of articles.

• Users can access these services through applets on IFTTT’s website or create their own.
