ChatGPT App Gets Major Update with iPad Support, Siri and Shortcuts Integration, and More
ā¢ OpenAIās ChatGPT app has released its first big update, bringing native iPad support, drag and drop, and Siri and Shortcuts integration.
ā¢ The update could make the app preferable to using the web browser version, and could drive incremental new downloads.
ā¢ The app has seen 7.3 million worldwide installs on iOS, and is now No. 1 overall in 31 countries worldwide.
Cohere Raises $270 Million to Fuel Development of AI Platform for Enterprises
ā¢ Cohere, an AI model ecosystem for the enterprise, recently raised $270 million as part of its Series C round, valuing the company at between $2.1 billion and $2.2 billion.
ā¢ Cohereās AI platform is cloud agnostic, allowing companies to use their preferred cloud provider to increase data privacy and make implementation simpler.
ā¢ Cohere has developed multilingual language models trained on data from native speakers, and focuses on enterprise use cases.
ā¢ Cohere plans to build models that can take action and ādo workā for customers, such as booking flights, scheduling meetings, and filing expense reports.
Mark Zuckerberg Unfazed by Apple's Vision Pro: See How Meta is Taking a Different Approach
ā¢ Mark Zuckerberg expressed his opinion on Apple's Vision Pro headset, saying that it didn't present any major breakthroughs in technology that Meta hadn't already explored and that its vision for how people will use the device is ānot the one that I want.ā
ā¢ Meta's upcoming Quest 3 headset will be much cheaper, at $499 compared to the Vision Proās $3,499 price tag, giving Meta the opening to reach a wider user base.
ā¢ Zuckerberg believes that the Quest is about āpeople interacting in new ways and feeling closerā while also āabout being active and doing thingsā, while Apple's WWDC keynote showed people sitting on a couch by themselves.
