Wednesday already, as if! we’ve now hit the downward slope to coast our way through to the weekend and over here in the UK we are promised a warm one.

Our issue today focuses on AI trust .. Sam doesn’t trust anyone else developing AI and wants regulation. Samsung doesnt trust OpenAI and so they are developing their own in house version. In turn ChatGPT doesnt trust its users to stay and so release their plugin store to keep things exciting

OpenAI’s Sam Altman Urges A.I. Regulation in Senate Hearing

• Sam Altman, CEO of OpenAI, attended a Senate subcommittee hearing and agreed with the need for regulation on A.I technology.

• He offered a framework to manage the growth of A.I. technology dependent on government oversight.

• Lawmakers suggested an independent agency to oversee A.I., disclosure requirements and antitrust rules to prevent monopolies in the market.

• The hearing highlighted potential harms of A.I., such as job loss and spread of misinformation, but also its potential benefits.

Samsung is making its own ChatGPT-like AI to avoid company leaks

• Samsung has reportedly partnered with Naver to create an exclusive, in-house AI platform for its employees.

• Unlike ChatGPT, this AI tool will remain on Samsung's servers and be accessible exclusively to the company’s workers across the Device Solutions Division.

• The AI will be tailored to help the company better than ChatGPT ever could, thanks to being built using sensitive semiconductor information and company data.

• Furthermore, the tool may understand the Korean language better when compared with other generative AIs.

• Following a few core leak incidents, Samsung requested an investigation from the national authorities and sent a notice reminding employees of penalties related to technology leaks.

ChatGPT trying to keep up with Googles huge development now releases plugins

• ChatGPT Plus users enjoy early access to rolling out of experimental features.

• Web browsing and plugins are now available in beta, with access extended to users and developers from the waitlist.

• Plugins allow for access to up-to-date information, computations and third-party services.
