👎 Has Snaps AI made the app worse?

PLUS: 5 tools to supercharge your output and Grimes says lets go 50/50

Good Morning Pigeoneers!  This is the Robot Pigeon. The daily AI newsletter that digests and summaries all the best bits of the days AI tools and news in a read of always less than 5 minutes ... bit like one of your old comics but with less superheroes

On top of being another busy week day hour in the world of AI (deceided to give you 4 news articles today), I had a burst pipe yesterday and now no ceiling or functioning kitchen. I took control of the situation and have left the house and come to the office to bury myself in AI research and hope its all sorted by the time I get home!

While my kitchen pipes have been performing badly, so has the new AI feature in Snap apparently. Grimes has decided if you cant beat them join them and taken a very different creator stance than that of Drake

I'm off to use SuperChat to have a conversation with Moses ... apparently he was good with water? Enjoy ...

• U.S. App Store reviews have dropped to 1.67 from 3.05 and a fivefold increase in daily reviews has been observed.

• On April 20th, three times more one-star ratings were given compared to usual levels.

• Complaints on social media are focused around the feature being pinned to the top of users' Chat tab and not giving users the option to opt-in or remove it without paying for a subscription package.

• Some find it intrusive and creepy, as it knows user location even when they don't share it on Snap Maps; this points to a larger debate around AI and personal data collection.
